It's been known that disagreement leads to improvement. However, this may not be true. It can be proven false with the book, Lord of the Flies by William Golding. In this book, children get stranded on an island and strive to survive until someone comes to rescue them. The book proves that disagreement only leads to more trouble and does not always improve a situation.
In the book, a major disagreement of leadership occurs on the island. According to the saying, "disagreement leads to improvement," it may be predicted that the children come up with a solution in which both sides agree. However, that didn't happen. The children split into two factions and a war soon started. Even though most of the kids end up being rescued, several children die due to arguments. Also, the disagreements lead to what end up worse. Disagreement leading to improvement is disproved by the result of the argument. The story exemplifies the concept that disagreeing makes a problem even worse.
The book, Lord of the Flies, argue, "disagreement leads to improvement," not to be entirely true. Disagreement, rather than leading to improvement, causes more chaos and leads to a dire situation. But, if the right choices of actions are taken, arguments can end up with a compromise which leads to positive results.
